Lucky to be there

Inspired by The Cheese Party, I'm posting some pictures that were all about the timing of me happening to be there with my camera.

During a thunderstorm in Michigan before I moved, I was playing with my camera's settings.
The first picture is normal nighttime. The second is during a flash of sheet lightning a second later.

In another vein, this picture was taken when I was in CA for my sister's wedding. We were wandering the beach and saw these lovely eople getting their own wedding pictures taken. So I took a picture of their pictures.

What are your best timed shots?

Oh that sheet lightning!!! I remember a storm on the 'oh so flat' Hay Plain when the grass showed up as green as green and the sky appeared blue in the lightning. Magic!

I was pretty surprised. If I hadn't taken the picture, I would have thought it was just a cloudy day.

That wedding photo reminds me of a painting I've seem somewhere. I'll have to do some recon. Very cool! And the lightening shot is awesome. I haven't tried to shoot in a storm yet because it sounds very difficult, and here you got a great shot just by being there! Thanks for playing!

Well you didn't see all the shots that DIDN'T have lightning in them. :P

Oh what great timing. I never leave home without a camera but nothing ever happens. It never fails, at he very time I forget to bring one, stuff happens and I can't take a picture. Why is that?

Even when I have my camera, sometimes it takes to long to get it out & turn it on so I still miss it. :P

Those shots are amazing. I love kooky wedding shots, I imagine that is how yours will be. I am already demanding an invite, btw.

I think you may be the first person to demand an invite. Therefore you get one. You can bring the friend of the fam, Aray. :)
