gray

Outside a gray day
no sunshine and no light breeze
Like my heart, inside

Sorry I had to be all goth for a second.

Seriously though, I'm not a happy des. Life is getting to me. Besides the issue that I mentioned earlier today, I am still focusing on being unemployed. It's been almost exactly a month since I walked out of my last job (still no regrets) but besides the vacation, I've just been sitting in my house since. We're ok for money, but because a large portion of our already-accrued money is going to this whole "moving" thing, we have to limit our fun time spending. No "extras" until I get a job.

I have been trying to get a job. There are days when I'm a real go-getter, applying to everything in sight, writing dynamite cover letters, working on other things that will further my career. Then there are days like today, when I try to apply but realize I don't want any of the jobs being offered. I'm sick of pointless office jobs, even if it's in an industry I like. Still yet there are days on which I don't look at jobs, I don't do anything except lie on my bed as a lump.

My life is definitely not where I want it right now. Even though the grayness outside means it's not so hot, I still don't feel like going outside. I do go out for some things, and once I'm out I have fun, but it's pretty darn hard to get motivated.

As far as the days you're setting the world on fire and the days you're...well, not, look at it like this. Not really any different than having a job, right? Some days you're running the show, some days you'd rather take a nap!

Seriously...chin up. The universe just hasn't pushed the perfect job your way yet. It will.

Oh hun, I've been there...I'm not going to give you any,"go buy a new shade of lipstick," advice....unless that's what you wanted to do of course :o)

Things will pick up, you'll see. You'll find something or something will find you and you'll be rolling in all those beloved "extras" soon.

As for the marriage thing, don't sweat it, it's not all daisies and diamonds. Just about everyone I know is divorced so waiting for the right time is a good idea because then you'll both be sure it's what you truly want. It sucks when you want something you could easily have but have to wait....in this case though it's a good reason. If you were like 50 and still saying this I would tell you different.

By the power invested in me by the state of Nordstroms and Gapbody, I hereby demand you consume no less than one pizza slice, four ounces of chocolate and three mojitos. If that does not make you feel better, the eventual nausea will take your mind off of things for a bit.

dd, the only difference is that I'm not getting paid right now. That'd be sweet.

pea - yeah. It's still annoying though.

jb - mmm tasty. and ha ha ha nausea.

I'm with Ms. Little Pea. I feel your pain, but I know that things will work out in the end. And as I am also suffering from the gray weather, I definitely see how this just makes you feel worse.

We'll eat cookies tomorrow and laugh at giant penises on elephant statues.

Things will get better. I hate when I get into a funk though so I empathize.
