So while Shmiz was here, I got my acceptance letter to Colombia University. This is great except for the unfortunate fact that due to my current financial situation, I will not be attending this Ivy League school. One reason is that they don't offer financial aid during the summer. Another reason is that I would add 2 hours of commuting time to my days, and every day would be like this: leave the house at 8:30 am to go to work. Work at a job I hate for 8 hours. Hour long commute to an hour long class. Hour commute home. Get home around 10pm. Still have to eat dinner, do the dishes, change the catbox, and get ready for next day. Sounds great, doesn't it?
So I'm not going back to school anytime soon. But at some point I will learn Latin on my own. Then I will magically earn lots of money at a job I love. Yay!

I am sobbing for you. My dream would be to go to Columbia journalism school...sigh. I hope you can figure out a way to make all your dreams come true so you don't have to slave in a cubicle like me.
