should I be worried?

So Craig is eyeing a government job, and as such needs to fill out 10,000 pages of paperwork. This includes, apparently, personal info on me. Why? Because someday I may be kidnapped by terrorists in an attempt to "persuade" the US Government to do things their way.

Oh, um, neat. But don't worry, the government will protect me? Yeah, that's reassuring.

I think they have to make sure that you are not some insurgent that will use him to steal secrets about our legal system and spy. Or something.

I'd make a witty rejoinder, but that would prob put me on some bad list.

It is creepy. Does he have to tell them you have a blog? Do you have to get fingerprinted?

I don't think he has to tell them about my little internet "secret." HE had to get fingerprinted though.

I used to work a government job and had to fill out similar paperwork. They just need to make sure he's not hanging out with drug addicts, bookies, and/or terrorists. You're not a terrorist...are you? :)

Wouldn't YOU like to know?

I had to fill out paperwork like that when I worked for the DA's office. One day I got called to meet with an investigator. It turns out that he were upset that my driver's license was from out of state. When I pointed out that I didn't have a car, the matter was dropped.

Hmmm. I still have my CA license. But no car. Technically C is in the same situation.

With so much red tape, you'd think the government would never get sued.
