I was born into a working class family, and I'll die in one.
The only jobs I can ever get are the horrible office jobs that I hate.
I can't branch out because I need experience in order to get any job, and I can't get any experience because you need experience to get any job.
I can't go to grad school to get another career because they won't accept me because my grades weren't that great in college because I had to work full time to pay my bills.
I can't get an internship to get experience because I need to draw a salary so I have to keep working jobs I hate that I can't branch out from.
I couldn't have done it right from the beginning because in college I had to work full time to pay my bills so I couldn't get an internship.
It's a horrible vicious circle I'm stuck in, and I want out.

are there other post grad institutions you can apply to? Maybe online just to pull up your GPA and get into the program you really want?
I woiuld love to take some online literature courses, but most of the online courses I see are things like "business management" which I have no interest in.
You will do it. You will break free!!
As you have broken free in Google. You are #1 at super des!!! I like to think that my 3 links put you over the top.
Interesting.
When you search for super des (no quotes) I rule the world.
When you search for "super des" (with quotes) I am still #2.
Good enough for me!
Thanks Suebob!
Oh, hon. What a pain. Yeah, it is a vicious cycle. I'm so sorry. Something is gonna give though, and the rest of the world will know (because we, your readers, already know) that Diggity Des is really SUPER Des. :-D You'll do it. And I can't wait to see how.
A cycle that I am confident that you will break free of...
You guys are all the best. Now I have to do something, not just to make myself happy, but because you said I could.
:)
Hang in there....YOU CAN DO IT!
I wish for you the BEST!
Thanks, citizen.
You can definitely get into grad school! Perhaps the one you applied to wasn't the right fit, but there are lots of others. You'll make it fine.
As an aside, you should read "Julie & Julia." Julie has an awful, terrible, evil office admin job and decides to cook Julia Childs' first book and blog it to save her soul. She's really funny and I think you'll identify a lot with it.
ok, I will check that out.
Where do I find it?
i loved that book too, suzanne.
picked it up at the library. 'course i have yet to find my literary destiny.
