It never ends.
R made a mistake. Surprise. People do make mistakes. The polite thing to do is say "Oops! let me fix that." When New Boss approached R about her mistake, the following yells were heard all over the office:
THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! I DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE! THE COMPUTER MUST BE BROKEN OR YOU MUST BE WRONG BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO MAKE A MISTAKE!
and so on.
When NB came back to me to (needlessly) ask if I'd heard that, I showed her the proof that was still on my computer screen that R had indeed made a mistake. NB went back to R with this proof. A minute later, R slams something down on NB's desk and yells some more:
THERE! IT'S FINISHED! I FIXED THE MISTAKE! THAT'S WHAT YOU WANTED RIGHT? GODDAMMIT!
Later...
She slams something on my desk. I ask her to please put it in the box where it goes. She throws it in there. The following conversation takes place:
Can you please not throw things? For one reason, I don't want things coming out of the envelope.
There's nothing in that envelope.
Regardless. I know you have a sign over in your area that says not to throw things. It's only fair for you to respect those wishes of others. (And yes, I am extremely condescending when I'm annoyed.)
She throws the thing again. "YOU KNOW WHAT DESIREE?" she checks herself. "HAVE A NICE DAY." Now that last part was not said in a nice tone, though I realize she wanted to say something much worse. I wanted her to as well, because I know that NB is right next to me AND I would go straight to Office Manager and President. One of us would be walking out that door never to return, and R knows it would be her.
As it is, I don't need to say anything because NB,
Now I realize that R very likely has mental problems. If the company wants to keep her employed, they should get her counseling or something. However, yelling fits aside, she is still a horrible worker and should be fired. Yelling at your boss is not cool, yet she gets away with it. I sent an email to NB saying "I've just about had it with R. Nobody deserves to be spoken to the way she speaks to all of us, especially you and I." We'll see what comes of that.

i'm horrified and yet i'm still enthralled. which sorta horrifies me more.
I feel like I'm in a made-for-tv-movie. On Lifetime. So you know I'll prevail, because I'm a strong woman.
:)
But only after R kidnaps you or something...
ha ha ha
the rw series is proof of civilization in decline.
*munch munch*
I should totally make it into a graphic serial novel.
But I can't draw.
