I'm telling!

It's 9:30 am, and I've already had to tell on a coworker. It's not that I want to be a tattletale, but I'm not in the mood to deal with lazy whiners.

I discovered the magic of making my own iced coffee, because who wants to drink hot coffee when it's already 80 degrees at 7:30 in the morning? It's simple, really. Pour coffee in a big glass (I use a beer pint glass), pour in chocolate milk, and add 3 ice cubes. Stir it a little. Drink and enjoy.

Despite this discovery, I am still very tired. So, when I got to work and there was a half-filled out form on my desk, I went to the guy who gave it to me and demanded the rest of the info. I was told to look it up. I replied that I don't know how to look it up, because it is in a computer program that I don't use because it's not my job (though I'm sure I could figure it out, but that's not the point). He grudgingly took the form to give back to me later.

I reported word for word to my boss the conversation.

I'm given the form back, and there are still 2 vital pieces of info missing. I go back to that guy. He tells me to call the customer & get the info. I calmly, if not a little bitchily, tell him that it is not my job to call customers. In fact, I was hired specifically to not call customers, because I hate people. As he is the Customer Service Representative, he should do the calling. He refuses. I tell my boss again. My boss tells me he'll handle it; not to be confused with "I'll call the customer" - more of he'll tell the guy to do his job.

The reason I tattled is not because I'm a suck-up. It's because I want to make it obvious that I do other people's jobs on a regular basis, and I'm tired of it. When it comes firing time, or raise time, I want it clear that I deserve one and not the other.

Plus it gives me something to complain about.

I've been customer service too. Maybe that's why I hate people.
