early Saturday

I'm awake at 8am on a Saturday, purely of my own volition. This is for many reasons.

I was tired last night so I went to sleep fairly early. Started drinking at 6pm yesterday because the law students were celebrating the end of their second final, and I was celebrating not having to go to work for 2 days. There was a bit of Cinco De Mayo thrown in, and though not a one of us is Mexican, we had some margaritas. Margaritas in this case were plastic cups full of tequila with a little margarita flavor, and salt and lime. After we finished dinner, we were all tuckered out. Not to mention the fact that my feet hurt because certain shoes have a limit of how much walking you can do while wearing them, and I had reached the limit on my spotted sandals.

We came home and went to Trusty old Dunkin Donuts. It was so early, they were still open like a normal store that you can go inside. Normally you have to stand in a vestibule and yell through a bulletproof window while the money and donuts are exchanged via enclosed turntable. We ate our donuts, and I went to sleep. I had some interesting dreams, possibly tequila induced, that I won't go into here because I think they are interesting only to me. I will only say that one of them was of a subject matter that I had never dreamt about before.

Another reason I'm awake right now is because I was hot. I have yet to make the switch to pajama shorts instead of pajama pants, and I feel that this time is rapidly approaching. Also, the cat still finds comfort in being a selfish pig and sleeping on my face. I inevitably wake up with cat hair in my mouth, and sometimes I don't hear my alarm because the sound is muffled by cat fat. Today of course, I had no alarm, but I was still cat face. This can make a person very warm, which is great in the 0-degree winter, but not so great in the 78-degree spring. It will be less great in the 90-degree (and humid) summer. I'm assuming the cat will also feel that it is less great, and give up the practice.

So here I am, awake on a Saturday morning. It is now 8:37, and my whole day is ahead of me. I think I will eat and play video games right now. Also I have that horrible Chumbawumba song in my head (you know the one... I get knocked down, but I get up again....) so something must me done to alleviate that

I'm at Mr Stapler's house. I awoke at 5:30 with his dog chewing on the back of my head...I came downstairs about 6:15 and my dog and his dog decided to finally work out their differences...huge dog fight...snarling, wrestling, teeth bared. Way too exciting for before 7 am.

I also woke at 8:00 AM this saturday, and I also had tequilla the night before, but I woke up on a strange couch, still drunk, and stumbled 5 blocks home...

...and to get rid of any song stuck in your head, you just need to sing the theme song to The Muppett Show. It is guaranteed to remove any stuck song without getting stuck in there itself...

...It's time to put on makeup. It's time to light the lights...

I don't know the theme from the muppet show. But Chumbawumba is gone from my brain. Forever.
