It's official

For someone who hates moving, I sure do it a lot. I've lived several different places in CA, then NYC, then Detroit (area), and in a coupla months I'll be moving to Asheville, NC. Jay's sister has a house for us to rent, and it will be available the same time that our lease runs out here. We were planning on moving out of the apartment anyway because we hate it, so why not move somewhere that is cheaper and a house? It's not a big house, but it's got 2 bedrooms and a fenced yard, plus all the modern conveniences like a washer & dryer.

Also: there's no guarantee we'd be able to find a nice affordable place around here, since my credit isn't back up to where it should be (thanks to all the moving around I mentioned before) and Jay not havng a job. People might not be so excited to rent to us. Jay's sister, however, knows we are good people and that the employment rate in Asheville is higher than it is anywhere in this snowy state. Did I mention the rent is a lot cheaper?

Oh yeah, and the weather will be better.

It will be harder for Jay than for me, as he's lived around here all of his life and I've only been here about a year & a half. I have a coupla friends here, but I have friends all over the country. Sadly, I'm used to packing up and leaving them. But when we move, we'll have his sister and all of her friends, so meeting people should be fairly easy. I do hate looking for jobs though. While I am thankful that I have a job here, unfortunately it is nothing to write home about - I would rather have a job that pays more and keeps me busy. So there's that to look forward to.

Stay tuned for more developments as the end of June approaches.

The move sounds like a good idea. I hate packing, though.

Yeah, maybe I'll get a job that provides me with more exciting stories than this one. Ah, the good old days....

Oh sister I hate moving too. But this will be a new start. Don't lose your mind when you get in the thick of it all. Just breathe and you'll get through it.

Pets are coming too right?

Pea, who you talking to? Of COURSE the pets are coming! Doggie gets to use the fenced yard, and Jay's sis is a built in pet sitter! :)
