computers are NOT my friends

So after struggling for literally hours to post my stupid DC photoblog, I finally got an "acceptable" result. However, I spent my whole night working on this thing, after getting home from grocery shopping by myself because Craig is in CA visiting the fam. I barely ate dinner because I was consumed with this (and there was nobody there to make sure I ate). I had to deal with a sick cat, who threw up 3 times before I went to work and once while I was gone. He's ok now, but I did have to wash the bathroom rug, which was cleverly piled up in such a way that maybe I wouldn't notice that Mecru had been sick again. But I knew to look there, since I don't normally keep the rug all bunched up as if it had been used to bury cat puke.

I also had promised to fix Suzanne's bracelet, which apparently was not impervious to water. I cheated and did not completely re-make it, instead I just tried to close it with the tiny broken thread. By the time I went to sleep (after midnight), my eyes didn't work any more because of the hours spent staring at a computer screen and then tiny threads.

Then this morning, very tired, I worked some more on the photoblog. I couldn't fix it and i smashed some things. Then some stupid idiotic work thing ended up taking 3 hours instead of 30 minutes because customers are retarded and computers like to shut down randomly. Then of course in the middle of all this, a coworker keeps asking me to do some magical impossible computer thing even though I tell her it is magical and impossible. So she took up even more of my time.

With the AIDS Walk this Sunday, I can go early and get my prizes for raising over $1000. I get a cool sweatshirt, and some people get their names embroidered. I, however, did not get the notice about that until the day before the deadline (another post office smashing), so I had no way of getting my name put on. I know its not about the prizes, but I wish I could get what I'm entitled to.

Rarg. Today is a good park day.

Oh, I'm so sorry. It sounds like you already need another break!

And that's too bad about the prizes for the Aids Walk. I know it's not about that, of COURSE, but it would have been cool to get the stuff you'd earned.

Still, I can't believe how much money you've raised for that. Well done!!!!! I'm completely in awe.

I don't really need my name on my new sweatshirt, but it would be nice, especially since other people just like me are getting it. And it would be silly to go get it done myself, since it was used as an incentive.

Oh well. Too hot to wear sweatshirts right now anyway.

Good on you...
You raised over a thousand dollars?
Now, that's great... Really?
You raised it for the Aids awareness walk...
and I certainly am proud of ya!
And you get a sweatshirt...
And its kinda good you do not have your name on it...
You are annonymous... and that is the true act of charity...

You're right Pendullum. The best charity is anonymous.

Thanks for fixing the bracelet. It rocks and I can't wait to show it off at the India reunion.
