First, if you haven't done so, go read yesterday's entry to have a clue what I'm talking about.

1. I was a Jehovah's Witness.
TRUE. In 7th grade I had a friend named Beth. Her parents wouldn't let us be friends unless I was the same religion as them. So I thought "what the heck" and went with it. I went to her house once a week for bible study, even though I didn't have my own bible. That lasted a coupla months until I decided it was really lame. Plus, as many of you guessed, the whole "not celebrating bdays and Halloween" thing really bugged me.

2. The countries I've been to (besides the US) include Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.
FALSE. Suzanne's logic, "I know that you have been to Argentina, so it makes sense that you went to the neighboring countries..." seemed so solid. Therein lies the trick.
I have been to Mexico several times, as my aunt & uncle used to have a beachfront "shack" in San Felipe, and it was pretty easy for us CA folk to make it down there, though I haven't been in years.
Canada was for only an afternoon. We were at Niagra Falls and decided to ditch the carnival-midway-like US side for the pristine and manicured Canada side. The American "guards" were jerks telling us that we couldn't cross without proof of US citizenship (apparently a CA driver's license is not satisfactory) but the Canadians welcomed us and loved us. You can see some pictures at the Robot's Adventures.
I spent a semester in college studying in Argentina. While there, I went many places, including Chile (for more than just the plane transfer in Santiago). I went to Iguazu, but could not enter Brazil because US citizens need a visa for that, and I didn't find that out until I was at the border. So I got to take pictures of Brazil, but I have never set foot in the country.

3. I won a video game playing contest.
TRUE. When the Super Nintendo first came out, there was a contest in the mall that whomever got the highest score in 5 minutes would win this fancy new video game system. My mom let me enter, and I got 2nd place. My mom was so impressed with my skillz that we went right to the store and bought a Super Nintendo. Splurging like that was a very rare occasion, so even though I didn't win first place in the contest, in my mind it was still a victory. (Notice I never said the words "first place" in the original statement.)

4. I've been on tv.
TRUE.
Growing up in a small town like I did, it is very easy to get on the news. And not just as a someone walking by or the guy waving at the camera. I'm talking interviews, like all the times I participated in the Rhododendron Parade.
Also, I've been in several (local) commercials. The last of which when I was in 8th grade and my dad worked for the cable company. Around xmastime, the Cox Cable commercials featured the employees and their families smiling and waving. I don't think I ever actually saw my own commercial, but people at school sure did.

5. I've been in a movie.
TRUE.
Sure, it wasn't a big blockbuster, but when I was in high school a friend of mine had a cousin that was going to USC. The cousin needed actors, and since I was literally a drama queen, I was up. "Get the Bowheads" is an awesome film about a bunch of army girls (read: lesbians) that kill a group of sorority girls. I played an army girl, with a flashback scene of when one of the sorority sisters was my lover (and no, it's not a sex scene). I wish I could find a version to show you, but alas and alack, it is not on youtube. However, if you google it, you can find lots of references to when it was played at gay & lesbian film festivals. Not the actual film, however.

So that's that. mdog was the only one to guess correctly, and she didn't give any reason behind her guess. But she's the winner.

ps - For the record, even Craig didn't get it right. He guessed #1 because the whole Brazil fiasco slipped by unnoticed.

mdog, you obviously know me a little because you know how my brain works! ;)

pea, I totally forgot about the JW thing until I was trying to think of stuff. It was definitely a good fact to remember, but now I can never use it again!

Hahaha. Okay, you got me too. I don't "know" you real well yet, but somehow I didn't really see you as the Jehova's Witness type...

As for Argentina, we should totally get together for mate' and swap stories. I lived there for a couple of years--in Buenos Aires and in Mendoza. Fun stuff.

Ooh! I was in Mendoza. Didn't get to make it to Buenos Aires, but I loved everywhere I went.
