Now I will tell you the story of how I gained my super powers. As many of you know, I am made of electricity. Everything I touch sends an electric shock through the air, sometimes even complete with blue sparks. Unfortunately for the world of crime fighting, I cannot control my own powers. As a result, I am often the only one that gets hurt.
It all started in the spring of 1986. I was 5 years old, on a walk with my mom down past the local horse stables. There was a mare and her colt standing near the fence, so we decided to join them. 2 mothers and 2 babies having a grand old time. The horses came closer so that we could pet them, and I spent several minutes delighting in the feel of the young horse’s fur.
That’s when disaster struck. Unbeknownst to anyone, the top rail of the fence was electrified. As I pet the young foal, my arm hit the fence, sending a large number of volts through me, all the way to the horse. We both recoiled, but too late. I was screaming and crying, the baby horse had run off, and the mother horse was giving me the dirtiest look I’ve ever been given by an animal. She may have given me a gypsy curse as well.
Ever since then, I’ve had my Super Shock Power. I get shocked by everything – cars, desks, doors, other people, other animals, pencils, shoes – seriously everything. I’ve learned to deal with my powers somewhat. You may see me touch something in a funny way. For instance, I might touch the body of the door before touching the doorknob or touch something with my elbow instead of with my hand. But no matter what precautions I may take, I am always going to have this power. I didn’t choose to be endowed so, and if I had I would have also checked the box marked “ability to control power.”

Wow. Something similar happend to my poor Grandma. She always kept a fabric softener sheet in her pocket, she said it worked.
That's been suggested to me. Unfortunately it clashes with my Super Smell Power.
that is a seriously bad ass alter ego
I've always struggled with " a little known fact about me" or "my hidden talent" get to know you type games that we had do in school and camp. Good thing I wasn't in a group with you! I can just see me struggling to come up with something like "I can make paper cranes" and then have Des announce that she has a Super Power!
I always knew you were super.
flutter - you know it.
AE - I don't admit it to just anyone.
suebob - tee hee.
Wow. That is quite the impressive origin story. I bow in awe to you.
