so funny I forgot to laugh

Dear Boss,

Remember when you asked me if I was “playing Michael today” in reference to my one gloved hand?

What an incredibly retarded thing to say.

You might also remember my straightfaced response: “It’s freezing in here. My hand is numb.” Or that the Super was just in here looking at the building's heater because it doesn't work. You're right. That's hilarious. You're also right that I can't work as fast with a glove on. But what will slow down my work more is when I have to put both gloves on because my space heater is not adequate to even heat the side of my body that is closest. At that point, I will just go home where it is warm.

But please, continue making fun of me. I promise I won't quit or sue you.

I don't envy you guys at all. My sis lives up there too-she said there's going to be a really bad snow storm. Maybe you'll get a day off because of the weather, then your boss will have ample time to think up some extra 'original' things to say-to brighten your day!

You should have just told him to beat it..

Pea, it's almost like it's snowing inside the building, and I love staying home.

h&b - you're funnier than me.

What an idiot! Did Suzanne ever tell you about how at one of her old jobs she had to wear her winter coat because she was so cold?

no she never told me that, but I believe it. I've had to do that too. That's stupid.

I have had to wear a winter coat in the building that I used to work in. Not good.

Two jobs ago, I wore gloves, a hat, a coat and scarf at my desk because the window in my little office was not sealed and thus cold air was constantly coming in. They refused to buy me a space heater because it would be a fire hazard. Husband tried to get me to buy one using our own money, but I told him that I would rather get the flu and have to take disability so that they pay for their evilness.

I forgot how much I hated working there. Sometimes it is good to remember these things.

I will be thinking about you today, as it is super cold, and trying to seendd whatever warm vibes I can spare. (I was too busy feeling sorry for myself in my previous comment and forgot to say I feel your pain.)

Luckily it is sunny today and the sun shines right in my window. That seems to help. Yesterday I had Ice Window, and that was definitely a cold factor.

My window is not sealed either, because it's really a giant door.
