Today the boss had to leave for a few hours. As soon as he stepped out the door, R got on her cellphone and started yakking away. Then she disappeared for the remainder of the time. She knew the approximate time Boss was returning, so she made it back in time. However, there was nobody at the front desk during this time. Nobody answering the phones. Nobody filing. Nobody greeting customers (or delivery guys) when they came in.

But it would be too hard to fire her. Then we'd have to replace her, Heaven forfend. I think I'm going to start pulling crap like that too. If R doesn't get fired, neither will I.
