more play on my vanity

I’m thinking of dyeing my hair black. I haven’t had black in a while, and I’ve got that really cool green-blue that would make awesome stripes. Plus my hair is short, so in won’t take long for it to grow out if I don’t like it.

The problem is, with my pale pale skin I look very goth when I have black hair. I don’t dress goth (especially in the winter) but I don’t like strangers telling me that I’m goth. Then I have to stab them and write a poem about how dark my life is. Just kidding. Goths don’t stab people.

But my hair does need a new ‘do. It’s getting kind of shaggy and faded. Since I don’t want to go pay the Crazy Hairstylist, I might just use my own scissors. Maybe that’s what I will do this weekend.

Any thoughts? Especially from those of you who will not see me in real life?

Why don't you try my 'do? Think Brittany.

Then I wouldn't get to dye it and thats no fun. Plus, I want as few comparisons to Ms. Spears as possible.

I like black hair my mom had sexy, shiny black hair. Mine is brown and last month I lightened it-now I hate it and I'm changing it back next appointment at the arm and leg salon. I like dark hair with pale skin-it's not goth if you don't wear cold colored makeup. Do you wear a lot of dark colors? Why don't you ask R? I bet she would be happy to offer beauty advice...

Ew. Besides avoiding R whenever possible, I would not take her beauty advice!

I wear a lot of bright colors, especially around the eyes. It probably won't be that goth.

I look pretty pale and sickly with black hair, but I look good with dark chocolate-y brown. Our coloring is pretty similar, so you could try that...

I always do blue-black. I've done dark red, but never really brown. Hmmm.

I'm voting with Count Mockula and saying brown would be nice.

Too late, hot plate. I've already gone black & green. You'll see it soon enough.
