It snowed in NYC yesterday, the first of the season. It was a brief snow, not even sticking, but it did snow, dammit*.
Here is what happened in my office:
I walk back to my desk and one of the shop guys is there changing my trash. He looks out the window and says “it’s snowing.” I look out and see that it really is (big flakes). “Oh! Finally!” and then we both get on with our work.
Several minutes later, there is a hubbub as other people start to notice. One person even gets on the intercom and yells “Everybody! It’s snowing outside!” Which is good because some of the dimmer bulbs in the company may have thought it was snowing inside.
Meanwhile my boss is cursing loudly about how he hates snow.
Out of everyone, I think the trash guy and I handled it best.
* It snowed again this morning and actually stuck for a while.
