sick day

Here is the email I've just sent to my boss (at 2:38am):

Hi Boss,

After a flight delay, a missed connection, and a rescheduling, I've arrived at my house at almost 3am Wednesday morning instead of the 6pm Tuesday evening I had planned. After a long day of travel with a cold I haven't kicked yet, there is no way I'll be able to be at work in 5 hours. I'll be in on Thursday.
