it all started with jeans

The most unpleasant is putting on jeans that have just been washed. Sure they're clean, but they are stiff and uncomfortable, not broken in like they were before you washed them. But you needed to wash them because they smelled like Dog, from the cute little rat terrier you were playing with on Saturday. It was worth the stink because you're pretty sure that the dog will get a home, as there was a lot of interest in her. There was one person in particular that you put in a good word for because she didn't mind that the dog was stinky and hyper, and she genuinely liked the dog.

You think of all this as you put on your stiff uncomfortable jeans. You think maybe you should own more than one pair of jeans so that you don't have to wash them as soon as you play with dogs (every week), because it is very possible that you will want to wear jeans and a t-shirt to work instead of a skirt and high heels (which, incidentally, you would never wear while playing with the dogs). You must wash the jeans because not only can you smell the traces of Dog, but others can as well. You don't want to be the stinky guy on the train. There are enough of those already.

It is for these reasons that you love having your own washer & dryer. Plus you tend to spill things on your shirts, so it is useful to wash them before the stain sets. If you moved to a different apartment, you would not have this luxury even if you could afford to have things professionally laundered. This is your main conviction against moving, besides the fact that you hate moving at all. Sure, you might get a better location, but you like your apartment and it's brand-newness and it's washer & dryer. You're not going to stop playing with the dogs; if anything you are going to play with them more. This will create more stink and more requirement for a washer & dryer.

It's amazing where your thought processes will take you just by getting dressed in the morning.

You forgot to mention how they feeling newly laundered for about two days... and then you FINALLY get them comfortable... and that is when your wet dog who has just played in the mud and leaves jumps on your lap for a quick lick before joining his muddy buddies again...Yeah... MY LIFE!!!
Never move.... And with the money you saved... By another pair of jeans...

I don't know if I can use fabric softener without heinous side effects. Damn super-sensitive skin.
