Dogs are great. Don't you want one?
Well I have the perfect dog for you.
His name is Leon.
He is 5 months old, and a chow-shepherd mix. He's big. He loves to play, but is also very content lying at your feet while you read or watch tv. He gets along great with everyone - people, children, other dogs, even cats.
He has short hair, but it is still soft. Even though he has some chow in him, he has no behavioural problems that I know of, and I have spent many hours with him. He is potty trained and will sit on command.
Normally he lives in the Animal Haven Flushing shelter, but I believe he will be with me in the mobile adoption unit on Saturday. You should come meet him. He'll love you.

Someday I'll have my dream home with a big/giant back yard (fenced!) and then I'll definitely find me a buddy like Leon. Until then, I have to settle with my aquarium. I hope you find a good home for the little guy! He looks like he has a good personality.
He does have a great personality. He's the best.
Leon seems very sweet, but I already have a semi-neglected rabbit who is semi-neglected because I'm not home enough. This would be even worse for a dog, although if the rabbit could walk the dog, it would work nicely. The other barrier to taking in Leon is Husband, who is not a fan of dogs. I chalk this up to the fact that he was terrorized as a child by a neighbor's very mean dog who could jump over the fence in the yard at will. This was life-scarring, I'm afraid.
Good luck with Leon, though.
Hope Leon finds a good home...
I have never looked back since I rescued my dog...
One ofthe best things I have ever done
Thanks everyone. I'm really attached to the little guy, but I'd rather he get a good home than me get to see him once a week.
And superstar, what's with leaving the exact same comment on everyone's blogs? What does that even mean?
I WANT LEON!
However, I don't think I'd have time for Leon.
I would hug him and hug him, though.
Maybe if I ever become a super-famous blogger that can work from home, then I could have Leon.
He's awesome. He wasn't there this weekend, so maybe next time.
