Off work, walk to the train station, wait a short bit for the train. When it arrives, I take a seat between a girl with an ipod and an old guy with an old game boy.
As I settle myself and get my book out of my backpack, the old guy is staring at me. I look up, and the following conversation ensues.
I like all the colors in your hair.

...um, yes. I have always had hair....
At this point, I actually begin reading, and much to my relief, the weird old guy goes back to his game boy.

Because some people DON'T always have hair, I guess. It must come and go at odd times.
Yes, this is definitely why meeting people on the subway is not recommended. Although you do have very nice hair.
