culinary trip to the South

Today I be's eatin' for lunch mac & cheese and sweet potata' fries. I always eat me some mac & cheese, but today I bought it instead of bringin' it from home. Well I did bring it from home, but when they said they was orderin' from this place, I coughed up the three-fitty.

This place is the shiz-nit. It's called Piggin' Out, and it's down home cookin'. They's got ribs, mashed potaters, collard greens, and whatever else you's be wantin' when you's homesick for Mama.

One time at a NYU Law party, we was real early cuz we was bored and we wanted some o'that there free alky-hol. We got to watch the planners settin' up, and this one skinny white girl was tellin' us 'bout when she went down to N'arlens, she ordered her some "sweet potatoes and spinach" tryin' to be like she was local, but them southerners knew she ain't from 'round there, and they says "Girl, you want yams and collard greens!" and had them a good laugh. I had me a good laugh too when I heard this here story cuz that girl surely don't belong in the country. I ain't even know why she was there. I prolly laughed too hard cuz of all that vino I had too.

I can't wait for lunch. I be's all smellin' my food, and my stomach be's growlin'.
