NKOTB, i love you!

I think the new kids on the block are hilarious. I hear them on the 80’s station on XM satellite radio semi-often, and it cracks me up without fail. Of course I hated them when they were “big” because all my friends were in love with them. They would sit around and gab about which ones they would go on dates with. 8 year old girls shouldn’t be dating anyone, let alone 20 year old pop stars. But now I think the new kids are the funniest thing since sliced bread.

n-sync is the same way. I hate their music, but I love their cute little choreographed dances and matching outfits. I also like how all boy bands have the “types” – the baby cute one, the “rebel” with the goatee and bandanna (and motorcycle, right?) and so on.

In closing, boy bands are an essential part of entertainment. They entertain me, but I am never going to buy any of their stuff because I hate them still. Though I did have a new kids plastic cup I got somewhere when I was little.
