Why would anyone make me have this conversation? (guess which one is me)

Can you email or fax me an invoice instead of mailing it?
I can write myself a note to fax you, but just to let you know they will still be mailed. So you might receive copies in the mail.
What do you mean? Why can’t you just fax it or email it?
Our system’s not set up to automatically fax things. I’ll have to remember to do it personally.

Well I can fax it to you, it’s just not done automatically.
But I keep everything that’s faxed or emailed to me.
And you don’t keep your regular mail? Because maybe you should start.
Well anyway, I was told the invoice would come directly to me, and it hasn’t.
Well there isn’t an invoice yet. It’s not at that stage yet.

It will. When I make it. Right now it doesn’t exist. And I’ll fax it to you.

I don’t think she was stupid. No that’s not true. I do think that. But I also think she was extremely self-centered. The combination of these 2 is why she couldn’t fathom that I wasn’t doing what she wanted, even though it was impossible.
